Roos: ‘Creativity means calmness’
How would you describe yourself in three words?
“Creative, spontaneous, and open-minded. Roos and art, that’s me! I always think of new things to create.”
What does creativity mean to you?
“I guess calmness. I really can’t live without it. If had I to choose a creative life without much money or a rich life without creativity, I would 100% choose a creative life. Creating makes me so happy.”
What inspires you?
“Nature. Nature is our base. Plants and shapes, everything comes from nature and also in cultures, especially the Asian culture. There is so much color in Asia.”
What do you love?
“Happiness. In giving, feeling, and spreading. I want to spread happiness and send it out to others. If I sense people around me are unhappy, I find that very difficult to deal with.”
What activity makes you lose track of time?
“Painting! Oh yes, definitely.”
What sort of books and people inspire you?
“Other artists and philosophers. I love books about philosophy and the mind, like ‘Creative visualization’ by Shakti Gawain. This book really helps me in the process of creating and visualizing. I love passionate people. That’s beautiful to me because passion comes from a place of sincerity. I believe passion is who people really are in their essence.”
